Your guide is Bonnie Friedman who has made a 28-year study of Island foodways.

Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, to a family of talented bakers and professional candy makers, she has pursued a multi-faceted career on the Valley Isle. She owned and operated a small chocolate manufacturing company and a gourmet catering company, now serves as publicist for critically acclaimed restaurants, chefs, and food products, is a certified Pastry Cook, and has co-authored two cookbooks for Ten Speed Press. She has built close personal and professional relationships with chefs, farmers and food producers. When national food media visit Maui, she is a key source.
